The solution to the "AI race" is to not participate, in so doing defunding & ending it so we have a planet to live on, while avoiding rogue & weaponised automation scribbling over our minds, markets, cultures & infrastructures.

Sovereign, contained 'AI' for medicine, radio astronomy, genetic research, OK. AI in banking, public sector, in our schools, on our networks, transport infra.. It'll only end badly

Wondering if people would sign this petition. There is a proposed massive #datacentre on the beautiful banks of the Menai Straits in N #Wales. There's so much wrong with this. It's a SAC (special area of conservation). The sentiment that marks 'off the map’, surely, is rebellion
against ai. Not even rebelling against actual ai, it's more just the
perceived encroachment of ai, for the audience. We all watch
things now with a dreary skeptical eye, constantly debating with
ourselves "is this ai? is that ai? ... and if its not, then it's a shame
this person spent so much time on it thanklessly because we're
not even sure we believe it's real even if it is", so, this being the
first video that i made truly within the era of this kind of haze,
that mindset was front and center. you'll find me eager to prove
i'm human on this one. a commonly used technique on this one
is being super careless with leaving trash behind in the 3D
space. previous lyric lines can often be spotted in the distance,
at screwy angles, just because they were left there. Around the
time that this was made, it was generally believed that ai tends
to be bad at object permanence. so i am taking extra special
delights here in leaving my garbage around. and of course one
of the most important 'new animation techniques’ to be most
urgently tried and perfected is being simple as fuck, because i
have 100s of these songs to do and 1 need to be able to actually
get to them cause otherwise seriously whats the point
