A new “Neuromancer" teaser gives more details of AppleTV's upcoming series based on @GreatDismal's genre-defining cyberpunk novel. In the trailer, the mysterious Armitage hires ace console jockey Case to help him activate his legally-purchased copy of Microsoft Office 365. Frustrated by Case's failure and an endless series of “Unknown Error 0x0 “ pop-ups, Armitage orders street samurai Molly to kill everyone in Redmond, but she is unable to buy a plane ticket because the 2FA email never arrives.
Vor dem Wochenende kam ein kleines Päckchen vom @kdsz_bayern bei mir an. Wegen terminlicher Verpflichtungen konnte ich es heute erst öffnen.
Nach Luft schnappend und ein wenig indigniert kämpfte sich daraus ein blaues Plushtodon hervor! Es murmelte was von "zu wenig Sauerstoff im Holozän" und verdünnisierte sich in die Wohnung – "erstmal das neue Zuhause erkunden".
Ich bin noch etwas perplex! Wenn es sich in den nächsten Tagen wieder zeigt, werde ich hier berichten.

A great thing to do for alt text is to simply describe what’s in the image. It doesn’t have to be Pulitzer Prize winning prose. Something as simple as “a cute black kitten sitting in a tiny bandage box,” or “a middle-aged man with graying brown hair looks directly into the camera as someone pours beer over his head.”
What isn’t as helpful is when one simply repeats the text of the toot to which the image is attached (unless the toot itself is descriptive text) or oversimplified descriptions like “a cat” or “a man and beer.” Or when someone posts a comic in which two cute foxes have dialog about sadness and hope, but then for alt text writes something like “a comic about a fox being sad” without describing the foxes and their actions or repeating the dialogue.
Descriptive alt text is awesome because it lets everyone in on the joke or the beauty or the silliness or the cuteness. Access is sexy, friends.

The giant red SUV really took me out from the movie being set in England. Having been on country side roads here that thing wouldn’t fit anywhere. The neon sign on the police station was a wild choice too.
