I wrote a bit about Zalgo, the glitchy text you sometimes see. I wanted to explain not what it is in the meme/lore sense, but how it is constructed, and why is it even possible to construct it.

Again, I have never in my entire life seen an issue that has so rapidly and thoroughly brought together people of every age group and political beliefs in a common purpose as the deep hatred of data centers and #AI being imposed on our lives. Politicians who haven't figured this out yet, irrespective of party, are standing on the beach while a gigantic tsunami is about to drown their political careers, as this has become a top issue that will drive voters.

We just released Mastodon 4.7.0!

This version contains very few user-facing changes, but significantly reworks the backend code to improve security and support new protocol features.
