Book of God (the Bible as a novel)
I'm reading Book of God by Walter Wangerin on the Kobo app.
I'm 31% in and all Israel do is disobey God and conquer people and take their lands. It's pretty bleak tbh. I'm amazed Moses didn't give up on them completely.
And God has more patience with them than I would have.
Also It reads like David is Bi and has an affair with Jonathan even though he's married to Michal. 🤔
There's also a lot of rape. I'd forgotten how much.
