19:28 5/3 Update: Mr. Carpenter just saw both fledged owlets and at least one parent. One fledgling is 30 yards east of the box up a maple about 50 feet. 4/2/24 Watch as Star attempts to fly from the nest box roof to the nearby tree but just misses a landing.
Our cam host, Jim Carpenter, has seen the adults in the area keeping an eye on Star, and will check again in the morning for both Midnight and Star.

The eldest owlet is exploring the treetops! At 31 days old, Midnight stepped out onto the limbs in front of the nest box and then hopped to the top of the nest box while the female was on the porch. Eventually, the young owl ascended the hickory tree. t.co/i7zuTdv0hG twitter.com/WBU_Owls/status/17

That makes two! At 31 days old, the middle owlet "Star" joins its sibling outside of the nest box on the night of May 1.
