The eldest owlet is exploring the treetops! At 31 days old, Midnight stepped out onto the limbs in front of the nest box and then hopped to the top of the nest box while the female was on the porch. Eventually, the young owl ascended the hickory tree. https://t.co/i7zuTdv0hG https://twitter.com/WBU_Owls/status/1786073433790443948
That makes two! At 31 days old, the middle owlet "Star" joins its sibling outside of the nest box on the night of May 1. Star eventually returned to the nest box, while its sibling ("Midnight") ventured on to climb up the tree on which the nest box sits. https://t.co/XM8emD7Kih https://twitter.com/WBU_Owls/status/1786071384369566004
