Last week I was at the OETC conference down at the Columbus convention center (which hosted the Ohio CS summit). The word of the day is definitely "syzygy"
John Dutton got a nice picture of me presenting at the first inaugural Ohio CS summit! Here I am giving my usual sermon about how the black hole image in 2019 is a great example of how CS and modern science go hand in hand. @edutooters #iteachphysics #iteachmath
I had a fun time today at the Southern Ohio Section meeting of the American Association of Physics Teachers. 23 degree weather is not enough to stop a convening of physics nerds. #iteachphysics
@collin Did you know there is a national CS education conference in Portland in March?
I had a nice dinner today after the #casteam24 conference with a teacher friend. We felt sorry for all the people in cruise ships behind us that couldn't come to see our talk.
Having fun at the CA STEAM conference! #casteam24 A lot of people came to my talk this morning and I got to see some folks I'd only talked to on zoom before @edutooters
California here I come! I'll be at the CA STEAM symposium tomorrow in Long Beach #casteam24 My talk is tomorrow morning on integrating CS into science classes @edutooters
Got eclipse plans? Come hang out with me at Ohio State's Marion campus on April 8! #solareclipse #eclipse
Is anyone else going to the Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education in Portland next month? I've always wanted to go and I just registered! #sigcse2024 @edutooters

Teaching Game Design I'd love some suggestions of non-European myths/legends to build a game around! Ideas? Thank you for anything that you think might be useful!
Hanging out today at the Science Education Council of Ohio annual meeting! @edutooters
Apple opening up iOS to external apps has one potential bright side: chrome on iPad will eventually be actual chrome instead of being safari that looks like chrome. For anyone creating content for an education system dominated by Chromebooks this is going to make life a lot easier to get everything working the same on iPads. @edutooters
