Spots are still available for high schoolers at the ASPIRE camp organized by the OSU physics department in Columbus Ohio. Even better they will be using STEMcoding activities in their program! More info at http://u.osu.edu/aspire
Great news! We have funding to train up to 20 Texas teachers in data science over zoom thanks to funding from WeTeach_CS (which is part of UT Austin). Over a week and a half we will go through different spreadsheet-based activities that mix science, math and computer science. Please share with your networks! If you're still celebrating #EarthDay don't forget about our data science activity where students model how much temperatures have shifted at their locations! http://go.osu.edu/earthdaycoding @edutooters
We helped with a girl scout STEM event at OSU Marion today. There is a merit badge for shapes in nature that includes fractals. Chris talked about self-similarity in the universe and Scott showed the scouts how to draw a Sierpinski triangle #iteachmath

I love visiting the new building for Metro High School. It looks much more like Hogwarts than the old building. It's beautiful on the inside too thanks to the renovation!
Happy Valentines day! Here is a tutorial on making mathematical flowers using polar coordinates. Enjoy! #iteachmath @edutooters
