Doodling with my kid. He brought home a book about drawing "cute food" (which all seemed to involve animals curling up on/in said food), so have some mouse boba.
A distressing amount of my (and my coworkers) time lately has been spent on "No reasonable program would ever actually try to do this, and in fact Vulkan and Friends forbid it, BUT the GL spec technically allows it AND it blows up real good on driver XYZ, so it's a WebGL problem now."
I have no interest in folding phones, regardless of which company makes them, but I gotta admit that the frosted glass transition Apple does when you open or close the phone is real slick. Give the engineer who wrote that shader a cookie.
Yeah, sure, there's an Apple Keynote, but let's be honest: we're all just waiting for JerryRigEverything to get his hands on the new foldy thing, right?

After a bunch of work on invisible code architecture, my current personal WebGPU project has finally hit the point where I get to mess with the fun graphical techniques. :)
Saw some of the GTA 6 footage that was released and it's truly remarkable what they're pulling off with the rendering! It's a shame I have zero interest in the game itself.
If I'm going to play a game where the whole point is to run around causing chaos and making NPCs miserable, I'd rather be a goose while I do it.
Pleased/concerned that after blindly throwing together a new glTF parser from spare parts in scraps of free time over the course of a couple of weeks, it actually worked the very first time I tried to render something with it!
Came across this quick breakdown of the rendering in Animal Well. There's more going on here than I would have suspected! Excellent game, by the way.
