If any #litmag editors have time to talk to us (lol. We know you don’t have time—neither do we!) about how they took a mag from a labor of love to a paying market, we’d be so grateful. Specifically, do you need to become a 501c3? How do you crowdfund to pay authors in a non sketchy way that doesn’t mess up your personal taxes? If we paid 10 cents a word, it’d be up to $8,000 a year with our current publishing schedule, which is a lot of money to raise and probably a lot more work.
